What You'll Be Doing:

As a Shift Engineer, you'll be at the heart of operations, ensuring the efficient and safe running of all on site machinery and equipment. From high-speed production lines to essential site facilities, you'll play a critical role in keeping things moving.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Reactive & Preventative Maintenance - Keeping equipment in top condition to avoid costly downtime.
  • Troubleshooting & Fault Finding - Working with PLCs, SCADA, Power & Control Circuits, Pneumatics, and Conveyor Systems.
  • Collaboration & Problem-Solving - Working closely with Shift Managers and Machine Operators to drive efficiency and improve performance.
  • Compliance & Safety - Ensuring best practices in health and safety while optimizing plant operations.

What they are looking for:

  • A qualified engineer with a minimum NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Diploma in Engineering.
  • 17th/18th Edition BS 7671 Electrical Wiring Regulations - Essential.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a multi-skilled engineering role.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and fixing issues with mechanical drives, conveyor systems, and control circuits.
  • Experience in the food or drinks industry is highly desirable.

This role is Mon to Fri (Alternating shift patterns, week to week), 6.00am to 2.00p, or 2.00pm to 10.00pm.
