Draughtsperson

A well-established UK engineering company is seeking an experienced Draughtsperson to join its design team. The company delivers high-quality, bespoke engineering solutions across various sectors.

The Role

Reporting to the Design Manager, you will produce 2D for customer approval, manufacturing, and installation. You will liaise with clients, sales teams, and site surveyors, ensuring designs meet UK industry standards and are manufacturable. You will also contribute to improving existing designs and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce detailed CAD drawings for bespoke engineering projects.

Work closely with clients and internal teams to gather project specifications.

Ensure designs comply with British Standards (BS) and industry regulations.

Support production by resolving design-related issues.

Assist in improving design processes and systems.

The Candidate

Proficient in AutoCAD.

Mechanical engineering experience with metal-based products or fabrications.

Understanding of UK manufacturing processes and engineering materials.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Basic stress calculation knowledge is an advantage but not essential.

The Package

Up to 40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
