SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity - Secondary-aged Pupils with SEMH (Ashford)

Full-time - Monday to Friday - £83.33 - £90 per day

Are you an organised SEN Teaching Assistant searching for your next role? Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Ashford!

This full-time position is available for an immediate start, initially as a temporary long-term role, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

We work closely with a range of SEN schools across Ashford and nearby areas, so wherever you are locally, we encourage you to apply!

The Role Involves:

  • Supporting secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated behavioural challenges
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Assisting class teachers in preparing and delivering lessons and activities
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, including assisting with classroom tasks and equipment
  • Supervising pupils on school trips and outings
  • Rephrasing instructions, offering repetition, and providing guidance to ensure students are fully engaged in their learning
