We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs. You will be supporting students aged 11-18 who have a range of needs including Social, Emotional & Mental Health difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and ADHD.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support students with educational activities, tailored to their individual needs and abilities.
  • Assist in the management of student behaviour to ensure a constructive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers to plan and coordinate lessons and materials.
  • Engage with students to foster their social and emotional development.
  • Utilise both directed guidance and your own initiative to best support the students.
  • Participate in staff development days and ongoing training sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience or a strong interest in working with students with SEMH, ASD, or ADHD.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive attitude, sense of humour, and a strong team-working ethic.
  • Commitment to professional development and learning in the field of special education.
