Mechanical Estimator - Building Services / HVAC
45k-55k Basic Salary (negotiable depending on experience) + Pension + Benefits
Location - Kent
We currently have a superb opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a leading and reputable client of ours within the Mechanical, HVAC and Building Services sector.
Our client hold over 40 years' industry experience and work locally throughout the Kent region.
As a Mechanical Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing tenders and estimates for a range of mechanical projects.
Job Summary:
- Mainly tendering for projects ranging from small scale, several thousand in value and up to several million in value.
- Our client deal within various commercial sectors such as Schools, Offices, Healthcare, Universities etc.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, cost of materials, labour etc.
- Reviewing project plans, analysing plan drawings, schematics, specifications etc.
- Preparing and submitting detailed estimates and bids for projects.
- Preparation and submission of PQQ and ITT documentation.
- Negotiate with suppliers.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience estimating mechanical projects is essential
- Ideally from an M&E, Building Services, Plumbing/Heating or Mechanical Contractor type of background.
- Relevant higher level qualification or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction.
- Experience using software such as CAD and SimPro is desired.
