Principal Hardware Systems Engineer - Hi-Tech Manufacturing - Kent - LM1217

Job Outline:

My client, who is the market leader in the design, development and manufacturing of medical technologies, is now looking for a Principal Hardware Systems Engineer to join their growing team.

Based at my client’s Hi-Tech facility in Kent, you will lead the digital/analogue electronics and firmware design of products from concept through to production.

You will Develop system architecture and design concepts and work with Altium Designer CAD tool for schematic and board layout

In addition to this, you will also prototype, test, and troubleshoot hardware systems, and ensure EMC and electrical safety compliance.

It is also expected that you will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, support technology transfer to manufacturing and liaise with product management, business development, and operations teams

Qualifications:

As the successful Principal Hardware Systems Engineer, you should hold a minimum of a Degree in Engineering or similar.

Experience:

You should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in digital/analogue electronics design, along with experience in embedded programming (C, FPGA VHDL essential)

Proficiency in C++, .NET, C#, Java, or Python is a plus, along with familiarity with CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium preferred)

Experience in manufacturing is essential.
