Reed HR have partnered with a lovely company in Kent who are seeking an experienced Employee Relations (ER) Specialist to join their dynamic HR team. This contract position offers a competitive day rate and the opportunity to work within a forward-thinking organisation committed to fostering a positive work environment.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Provide expert advice and support on a wide range of employee relations issues, including disciplinary matters, grievances, absence management, and performance management.
  • Lead investigations into complex ER cases, ensuring a fair and consistent approach in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders, including HR colleagues, managers, and employees, to facilitate effective ER solutions.
  • Deliver training and coaching to line managers on ER processes and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of current employment legislation and ensure all ER activities are compliant with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with the wider HR team to develop and implement ER policies and procedures that support the organisation’s objectives and values.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an ER Specialist or in a similar role within HR.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices in employee relations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience conducting thorough investigations and producing detailed reports.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
