Office Angels are excited to be working with this local expanding business in recruiting for an Operations Team Administrator. You will be joining a sociable and friendly team, based in large open plan offices in Ashford close to the M20 with free parking on-site. This is a 6 month maternity cover, however there could be permanent positions on offer for the right candidate.

The day-to-day duties in your new job would be:

  • Progressing and administering production works orders to ensure availability of customer orders to agreed dates in liaison with Sales staff or occasionally direct with customers.
  • Working closely and effectively with Production Planning, Purchasing and Transport departments sharing the same objectives in a busy Retail Operations office.
  • Maintaining up-to-date training and awareness to be able to provide occasional cover for sickness and holidays in other departments in the shared office.
  • Ensuring quality, cost and efficiency objectives are met, and taking an active role in continuous improvement to drive out waste from all processes and to reduce cost.
  • Liaise with Sales (occasionally directly with customers) on stock availability, lead times and customer order progress queries
  • Booking production output onto stock ledger.
  • Maintaining accuracy of stock ledger for timber items.
  • Print and issue daily Works Order reports to Production and Treatment areas.
  • Raising and booking EQs (exceptional customer orders).
  • Maintain and update production status of items on production programmes.
  • Assisting Transport Dept with planning and administration of deliveries, and invoicing of customer orders dispatched.
  • Assisting Purchasing with co-ordinating supply of raw material to Production, administering outsourced machining orders and dealing with any invoice queries arising. Including arranging liaising with Transport to arrange logistics as necessary.
  • Assist in administering the company's annual audited stock-take at the end of September.
  • Ensuring that Company and Statutory Health and Safety, COSHH and Environmental requirements are met
  • Ensuring that all IT / Business System operational and procedural guidelines are followed so as to ensure data integrity.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks reasonably requested by your direct line managers, from time-to-time
