Reed Accountancy & Finance is seeking a Ledger Manager for a temporary assignment with our client in Ashford. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable ledgers, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner. This contract opportunity will last up to April 2025.

Ledger Manager Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable and receivable teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, maintaining up-to-date ledger entries.
  • Reconcile ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies found in records.
  • Prepare financial statements related to accounts receivable and payable.
  • Implement and maintain internal control procedures and policies.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data and efficiency of internal processes.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the ledger team, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports as required.

Ledger Manager Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Ledger Manager or in a similar supervisory role within finance.
  • Strong understanding of ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant finance qualification or equivalent experience.
