Job Title: Warehouse and Forklift Operative

Location: Outskirts of Ashford, Kent

Salary: up to £28,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 9.30am - 6.00pm

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Maintain the storage areas including the dry stores and cold store to ensure they are in a good condition.
  • Ensure safe usage of the forklift trucks and complete all required documentation.
  • Wrap, strap and palletise orders ready for despatch.
  • Receipt and document incoming raw materials for traceability and intake checks.
  • Be responsible for stock rotation to ensure products don't expire.
  • Ensure correct labels are attached, including delivery note, batch codes and expiry dates.
  • Control the movement of goods in the yard.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • You MUST have a valid forklift licence (this cannot be an in-house licence)
  • The ability to work in cold environments (fleece lined PPE is provided)
  • Experience within a food manufacturing environment, desirable not essential
  • The ability to read and speak a good level of English
