An experienced airfreight export professional is sought for a small, friendly Freight Forwarder based in Ashford.
The Export Clerk will handle all aspects of air exports, including general and dangerous goods shipments, quotes, customs, and customer liaison.
Candidates must have essential experience in airfreight exports, with preferred experience in dangerous goods, customs, and quotes.
The position offers a salary range of £28-35k depending on experience, plus opportunities for overtime or additional holiday banking.
Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, with 20 days of holiday provided.

Duties for the Export Clerk

Dealing with all aspects of air exports
Dealing with general and DG shipments (prepared to do a DG Course/refresher)
Quotes
Customs
Liaising with customers, airlines and transport suppliers
Also handling small parcels and working with the courier division
Varied busy position with good future prospects

Skills and Experience Required for the Export Clerk

Experience of airfreight exports is essential
Dangerous Good experience preferred (training or refresher provided)
Customs experience
Quotes experience
Good customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Employment Terms

£28-35k (DOE) plus overtime OR bank additional holiday
Mon-Friday 9-5.30
