Location: Commutable to Ashford, Kent Remuneration: £45,000 - £55,000 + profit related bonusBenefits: Pension, health care, 25 days annual leave
The role of the Estimator - Architectural & Structural Metalwork will involve:
- Estimator position dealing with a high end range of architectural metalwork systems such as: structural steel, balconies, balustrades, staircases, railings, glass systems, decking & sheet metalwork
- Carrying out take-offs from drawings and measurements to produce bills of quantities/price schedules
- Dealing with enquiries from various clients via phone calls and emails
- Preparing and submitting accurate and detailed tenders within the timeframe provided
- Following up all submitted tenders, receiving feedback from clients and updating records accordingly
- Conduct handover meetings passing secured projects to our production team
- Continue to develop relationships with clients to secure further business
- Liaising with colleagues to facilitate the progression of tenders and projects
- Producing estimates for projects ranging from £1,000 to £3,000,000 in value
The ideal applicant will be Estimator - Architectural & Structural Metalwork with:
- Must have estimating experience within the metalwork market sector whether structural or architectural
- Experience dealing with structural steel, balconies, balustrades, staircases, railings, glass systems, decking & sheet metalwork would be advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and industry standards
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- High attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
- Driven, enthusiastic, comfortable working autonomously
