Our client are recruiting for Timber Mill Operative to join their team.

You will be a candidate who thrives in a busy and fast-paced environment and enjoys working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have experience of working with hand tools, an interest in maintenance and DIY and an eye for detail and high levels of accuracy.

The role wil require you to work with chop saws, pull saws and push saws; read drawings & measurements, use hand tools such as hammers, drills, screw drivers and nail guns.

Duties:

  • Operate Mechanical Wood Machines
  • Planer Moulders
  • Use a variety of hand tools
  • Ability to work to a tight time frame
  • Heavy Lifting will be involved

Required skills:

  • Experience of working with hand tools to assemble wooden structures would be beneficial.
  • Machine minding experience
  • Interest in maintenance and DIY
  • Reliable, strong work ethic and organisational skills
  • An eye for detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good timekeeping and attendance

Hours are 8am-5.45pm Monday to Thursday with an early finish on Friday.

Due to the remote location, own transport is essential.
