We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PE Teacher to join our team, working in an environment focused on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH). This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about improving outcomes for children and young people through play, education, and physical activity. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Teach PE to students with special educational needs (SEN), focusing on social, emotional, and mental health development.
  • Create engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Foster a positive, stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and learning.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the educational experience and provide holistic support to students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and materials as needed.
  • Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the school’s vibrant community.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a PE Teacher, with specific experience working with students with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH needs.
  • Ability to create and adapt engaging physical education activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Resilience, patience, and a positive outlook, with a good sense of humour.
  • Physically fit and able to participate actively in sports and physical activities.
  • Must be a car driver, calm, enthusiastic, creative, and a reliable role model.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
