About the Role

We seek a motivated Psychology Graduate to support children in an educational setting. This role is ideal for someone interested in working directly with children, understanding their unique needs, and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 and Group Support: You will work closely with children who require additional assistance, providing personalised learning support to help them engage and progress in their studies.
  • Behavioural Support: Utilise your understanding of psychology to assist students with behavioural challenges, helping them develop strategies for positive classroom participation and emotional regulation.
  • SEN Support: Work with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, adapting your approach to meet individual requirements and ensure inclusivity.
  • Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive and focused learning environment, ensuring all students have the support they need to succeed academically and socially.
  • Monitoring Progress: Track students' development by recording observations, behaviours, and academic progress, and providing feedback to teachers, parents, and other staff members.
  • Wellbeing Support: Offer emotional and social support, helping students build confidence, self-esteem, and interpersonal skills, contributing to their overall well-being.
  • Developing Learning Materials: Assist in preparing tailored resources for students, including worksheets, visual aids, and activities designed to reinforce key concepts and foster engagement.

What We're Looking For:

  • A recent psychology graduate with a passion for working with children and a desire to apply your skills in an educational environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to adapt your approach to meet individual needs.
