New Directions Education is actively seeking adaptable and motivated SEND Teaching Assistants to support schools across Ashford. As a Supply SEND TA, you'll step in to cover both short-term and long-term absences, ensuring students receive high-quality, tailored support to help them thrive.

Responsibilities as a Supply SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support for students with SEND, helping them to access the curriculum.
  • Work with students of varying abilities, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs.
  • Assist teachers in maintaining an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Help manage behaviour and foster social, emotional, and personal development.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, contributing to the wider school community.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEND).
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A flexible and compassionate approach to working with SEND students.
  • A passion for supporting students with varying needs to help them reach their potential.
