Vision for Education is excited to support a welcoming Primary School in Ashford with their such for a dedicated and passionate Year 6 Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to making a positive impact on students learning and development in their final year of primary Education. This is a fulltime role and is due to start ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Year 6 class with day-to-day activities and lesson delivery.
- Assist in planning, preparing, and adapting learning materials.
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students as needed, ensuring they are engaged and progressing.
- Help with classroom management to ensure a positive, productive learning environment.
- Support students with their emotional, social, and academic needs.
- Assist in preparing students for SATs and provide additional support in key areas as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with Year 6 or upper primary, is highly desirable.
- A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive and patient approach to working with children.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are advantageous but not essential.
- A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
