Claims Handler

£20,000 - £24,000

South Kent 

Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, permanent

Are you looking for your first job within Insurance? If yes…then look no further! My client, a national business who specialise in various areas of Insurance, is looking for a switched on, enthusiastic Insurance Claims Handler to join their team.

The successful candidate will be provided with in depth training and also have the opportunity to study towards CII qualifications!

Duties include:

  • Managing customer claims from start to finish in a timely, efficient manner and providing exceptional customer service at all times
  • Speaking with customers over the phone, listening carefully and taking precise notes in relation to the claim
  • Recording all information on the CRM database and updating when appropriate
  • Keeping customers up to date with the progress of their claim
  • Meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Building strong relationships with both customers and internal colleagues
  • Following company policies and acting with integrity at all times

To be considered for this role, you must have/be:

  • A desire to begin a career within Insurance
  • Previous experience within a customer service environment
  • Ability to work well in a team and use initiative
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • A meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent)
