Deputy Warehouse Shift Manager

Menzies Distribution are looking for an experienced Deputy Warehouse Shift Manager to join our fantastic team in Ashford depot. You’ll be working on behalf of Menzies Distribution Limited and its customers. In this position you will have the opportunity to use your people management experience to drive our business forward ensuring all associated costs, KPI’s and future growth requirements are well managed. At Menzies Distribution, our extensive national network delivers parcels in the business-to-business markets including for some of the largest UK high street and online brands and specialise in retail, office, education, and light industrial markets.

Job role: Deputy Warehouse Shift Manager

Location: Orbital Park, Willesborough, Ashford TN24 0GA

Shift Pattern: Monday 00:00am – 07:00am, Thursday 22:00pm – 06:30am, Friday 22:00pm – 07:00am, Saturday 00:00am – 10:00am & Sunday 00:00am – 10:00am

Hours: 42 hours a week 

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 dependant on experience

DEPUTY SHIFT MANAGER DUTIES:

• Manage and motivate the team to meet customer timescales and improved productivity.
• Maintain quality standards.
• Ensure the labelling, sortation and warehouse team productivity targets are achieved.
• Provide ‘hand over report’ to oncoming Shift Manager
• Ensure inductions are carried out for all new staff.
• Provide training to all staff and contractors to ensure they can undertake their duties effectively, efficiently and safely.
• Ensure all staff have completed the necessary Health & Safety training.

DEPUTY SHIFT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

• Hold a full UK driving license.
• Must have management experience. 
• Relevant working experience within Distribution or Logistics  
• Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude to work.
• Knowledge of H&S legislation
• Good PC skills
