Freightserve are looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor. The role is working for a niche sector Freight Forwarder based in the Ashford, Middlesex area.

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching items. They will also be responsible for organising and monitoring storage space, maintaining inventory levels, and managing warehouse staff.

Main duties

  1. Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities and operations
  2. Ensure efficient processes are in place for the receiving and dispatching of goods
  3. Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
  4. Ensure warehouse space is utilised effectively and kept clean and organised
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate record-keeping
  6. Arrange warehouse handling equipment and load/unload goods
  7. Resolve issues regarding shipped orders and liaise with other departments
  8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and warehouse best practices
  9. Implement operational warehouse policies and procedures
  10. Manage, evaluate and report on warehouse productivity
  11. Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline

Qualifications

  1. Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role
  2. Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
  3. Knowledge of warehouse operations and health and safety regulations
  4. Excellent leadership and people management skills
  5. Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting heavy items
  6. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
