Our client a go-to destination for vehicle and plant repairs and maintenance seeks a Mobile Plant engineer to cover their sites in the Ashford area. This role involves travel and offers a Company van to get around. Our client is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to their customers. They offer a salary of £36,000 - £38,000 plus a quarterly bonus.

What Does the Role Entail?

In this role, you will provide on-site service and repairs to various plant equipment at multiple customer sites. Your key responsibilities will include servicing and repairing a range of assets such as trailers, winches, dumpers, diggers, telehandlers, pallet trucks, pumps, and more. You will ensure that our customers receive exceptional service at every site. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Head Office team to manage job sheets and bookings, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow. You will also be expected to adhere to all safety standards, including LOLER requirements, with training provided if necessary. You will be working a 47.5-hour workweek, and your hours will start from the moment you leave home, with all jobs pre-scheduled to ensure your day runs smoothly.

What Skills Will You Have?

To be successful in this role, you will need experience working with plant equipment, particularly in servicing and repairing trailers, dumpers, diggers, and more. Strong communication skills are essential to building and maintaining excellent relationships with the client's customers. Independence and reliability are key, as you will be working on your own across multiple sites. You must provide your basic tools, but we can supply specialist equipment such as torque wrenches and testing gauges. Being LOLER trained is an advantage, but training is offered.
