About the role of Assistant Design Manager:
- Coordinating design activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the desired quality.
- Managing the design team and responsible for delivering projects in accordance with client's requirements.
- Understanding and managing changes to scope, budget, and programme.
- Identifying project risks and opportunities and escalating any matters to the Design Manager and site team at the earliest opportunity.
- Manage the on-site delivery of projects working closely with the Project Manager and Site Managers and visiting live sites regularly.
Requirements for the Assistant Design Manager role:
- Degree or equivalent qualification with experience working on similar projects.
- Experience of working within a main contractor, developer, or consultancy.
- A hard working and organised individual, who is a team player, reliable and shows initiative.
- Technically minded, possesses good attention to detail and is happy visiting sites and managing the delivery of projects.
- Can address, manage, and resolve design issues as they arise with the site team.
