Location: Ashford, Kent

Salary: up to £40,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

Our client is a highly accredited, manufacturing company with a commitment to innovation, precision, and excellence.

Role Summary:

You will be required to lead our clients production operations based from their state-of-the art facility in Ashford. You will be tasked with driving efficiency, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Manage and motivate the Production Team.
  • To ensure the smooth running of production.
  • Adherence to GMP requirements.
  • Ensure that all products are produces to specification and OTIF.
  • Ensure that all staff comply with Health and Safety procedures.
  • Development of the production team to optimise team performance.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.
  • Track and report key performance metrics, analysing to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Ensure full communication flows across the organisation.
  • The organisation of the production team to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Ensure GMP and Quality standards are understood and always maintained.
  • Work alongside the Technical team to be audit ready at all times.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Take ownership for the operations and processes.
  • Support the project team to develop site investment opportunities.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • A background in food, cosmetic or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC and GMP requirements.
  • Understanding of relevant production processes and engineering principals.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
