Service Engineer - Monday - Friday - Worldwide Travel - 5 weeks hols with bank holidays - Pension

Location: Ashford

Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week - Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 - Friday: 08:00 - 13:00

About the Role

  • Assemble and install heavy machinery, tooling, and process plants.
  • Travel to customer sites to install and test machinery.
  • Perform machine assembly, inspection, and site maintenance.
  • Provide technical support to customers worldwide, travelling 3-5 times a year for 2-5 weeks at a time.
  • Work on customer-specific production equipment, designed for one-off manufacture.

We're seeking someone with:

  • Qualifications: HNC or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Skills: Practical problem-solving and mechanical skills.

Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Working independently and managing tasks autonomously.
  • A willingness to travel internationally.

Desirable Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical power and control systems.
  • Experience in inspection, quality control, and using high-precision measuring equipment.
  • Familiarity with equipment installation in factory settings.
