Are you passionate about marketing and looking to grow your career? Our client is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join their dynamic business team based near Ashford, (with occasional travel to other offices). You will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our marketing activities across various customer touchpoints, ensuring a seamless experience for both prospects and existing clients.

As part of this role, you will help manage the hospitality and events calendar, create engaging social media content, and assist with marketing campaigns. You'll work closely with the team to ensure our marketing strategy aligns with business goals, and you'll contribute to the overall growth of the agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the agency's events and hospitality calendar, including logistics, invitations, event setup, and feedback collection.
  • Develop and implement an internal communications strategy, including agency newsletters and marketing collateral reports.
  • Support the operations manager with the planning and organisation of internal events.
  • Execute social media campaigns, create engaging content, and capture visuals to boost our online presence.
  • Monitor incoming marketing invoices and assist with budget management.
  • Assist insurance executives with marketing campaigns, cross-selling, and upselling initiatives.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant legislation and regulatory standards.
  • Support internal events, manage marketing stock, and ensure marketing materials and spaces are organised and up to date.

Essential Requirements:

  • A desire to grow a long-term career in marketing.
  • Understanding of social media strategy and content creation.
  • Coordinate events, hospitality and sponsorship.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a marketing role or a relevant marketing qualification.
  • Customer service experience or experience in customer-facing roles.

Benefits:

  • Salary: 22,000 to 24,000 (dependant on experience)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (1 hour lunch break) there may be occasional weekend work/public holidays to support agency events.
  • Full training provided, with the potential to complete further qualifications. (Which may include additional travel and staying away from home in order to attend training courses).
