ESOL Tutor (with additional needs)

Temporary (approx. 3 months with the potential to be extended)

ÂŁ25+ per hour

The tutor will teach ESOL and support learners with additional needs to ensure they achieve their personal and academic goals.

Day to day of the role;

  • Plan, develop and deliver curriculum based activities for learners to achieve their functional English qualification
  • Monitor learner process in terms of attendance, achievement and progression
  • Manage behaviour of the learners, whilst promoting self-esteem through autonomous learning
  • Work closely with learners with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD and learning difficulties to ensure they can access the curriculum

Requirements;

  • A UK recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
  • Recent experience teaching functional English/ESOL
  • A working knowledge of additional needs and their barriers to learning
  • Immediate availability for full time work
  • DBS on the update service
