Vision for Education is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive primary school based in Ashford, dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for all our students. Their mission is to ensure that every child, regardless of their abilities or challenges, has access to an outstanding education and the opportunity to thrive. We are now seeking a passionate and committed Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join the school's dedicated team.

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting and teaching children with a wide range of learning difficulties and additional needs. You will work closely with the SENCO and other staff to plan and deliver personalized learning experiences that empower students to reach their full potential. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who require extra support to succeed in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess tailored learning programs for students with special educational needs.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group teaching to support children’s individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching staff, and parents to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and track the progress of students, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Work with external agencies and specialists to ensure that the needs of students are fully met.
    • Participate in professional development and team meetings to ensure best practices in SEN provision.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies, interventions, and educational frameworks.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload of students.
