Hunter AHP are currently seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join a well-established NHS hospital in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled pharmacist to support the delivery of high-quality cancer care in a busy and dynamic hospital environment.
Location: NHS Hospital, Kent
Hourly Rate: £32 to £38 per hour
Start Date: Immediate, ongoing contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist oncology pharmacy services to patients undergoing cancer treatment.
- Review and dispense chemotherapy prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Collaborate with oncology teams to optimise drug therapy and patient outcomes.
- Counsel patients on the safe use of chemotherapy and other oncology-related medications.
- Conduct clinical ward rounds and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining high standards of clinical care and compliance.
Requirements:
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
- Previous experience working as an Oncology Pharmacist in an NHS setting.
- In-depth knowledge of cancer treatments, chemotherapy regimens, and oncology drug protocols.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
