Folder Gluer Operator / Commercial Print Finisher

Our client has been the leading supplier of print and packaging materials to the entertainment industry, as well as the corporate, commercial, and public sector for over 60 years. Based in Kent, we offer a specialist printing solution; starting from concept and design through to laser cutting, intricate cutting, print and fulfilment, stock management and distribution.

We are excited to announce a vacancy within the gluing team.

All applicants from a commercial print finishing background will be considered, even without direct folder gluing experience, as full training can be given.

Main Responsibilities of a Gluer Machine Operator:

• Producing finished cartons of various styles, complexity, and materials across a range of equipment, both efficiently and to a high degree of quality
• General machine maintenance
• Setting up and running straight line glue jobs and crash lock boxes manufactured from folding carton board.
• Achieve daily production plan.
• Passing of own work
• Advising Team Leader(s) of any consumable stock requirements
• Ensuring machine packers are aware of their duties and are monitored accordingly.
• Comply will all company health and safety procedures.

• Experience of working within the packaging sector.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000

Schedule:

• Alternating weekly shifts; 6am - 1:30pm & 1:30pm - 9pm.
• (Initial working hours will be double days whilst training)
