Location - Ashford, Kent

Salary - Up to £46,000 per annum DOE (with a Sunday premium on top of this - OTE £55k)

Hours - Sunday to Thursday 10.00 pm to 6.00 am

We have a fantastic opportunity in Ashford, Kent for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to work nights for one of our clients.

This position provides the opportunity to progress and develop your knowledge to take the next step in your career! In this role, you will be working full-time.

Responsibilities for the role of Multi-Skilled Engineer

  • Responsible for the reactive & preventative repair and maintenance of all onsite plant and equipment to ensure safe efficient operation
  • Remit areas include packing hall production lines, dry & cold stores, site facilities including cooling tower & production wastewater plan
  • Support the Engineering Manager to deal proactively with issues
  • Drive through continuous improvement
  • Regular updates to shift managers' online performance issues
  • Achieve factory KPIs as agreed by site management
  • Drive costs down wherever possible
  • Make the best use of available time and resources
  • Implement preventative maintenance
  • Constantly strive to increase operational performance
  • Optimise factory efficiency
  • Maximise equipment uptime

Skills and Experience required for the role of Multi-Skilled Engineer

  • 4-year engineering apprenticeship or City and guild Engineering diploma
  • 5 Years Minimum experience in a similar multi-skilled role
  • Fault finding experience on PLC, s / Scada / Power & Control circuits / Pneumatics / Mechanical drives & conveyor systems
  • Working experience can include being the only engineer on a shift with full responsibility for the site
  • Production wastewater & cooling tower facility checks & repairs
  • Computer literate (Word / Excel etc)
