Quantity Surveyor - A47 Highways Project - Tuddenham (Lodging Available)
Are you a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a passion for delivering successful highways projects?
We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented individual to join our team working on the exciting A47 improvement project near Tuddenham. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a major infrastructure project that will enhance connectivity and improve safety for road users.
About the Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful financial management and delivery of this important project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and maintaining accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Managing and negotiating contracts with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Monitoring project costs and identifying potential cost overruns.
- Implementing effective cost control measures.
- Preparing and analyzing cost reports and providing regular updates to the project team and stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant contractual and legal requirements.
- Assisting with the measurement and valuation of works.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on highways or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of highway construction principles and practices.
- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in cost management software and tools (e.g., CostX, Asite).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS) is desirable.
