Quantity Surveyor

Our client is looking to add to their Build / Infrastructure Division as a Quantity Surveyor, where you will have the opportunity to work on projects ranging from £1.5-3 million. You will be interfacing with the Project Director, as well as the construction and commercial teams. We are open to receiving profiles at all levels, Assistant, Intermediate and Senior level QS'.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Prepare tenders, analyse and select appropriate subcontractors, negotiate and finalise subcontractor orders.
  • Manage the financial and commercial aspects of subcontractors up to Final Account completion.
  • Oversee and report on forecasts, targets, reconciliations, and site records.
  • Control documents, report variations, and handle valuations.
  • Liaise with and commercially influence the site management team while protecting the company’s commercial and contractual entitlements.
  • Manage and oversee Assistant Quantity Surveyors and Trainee Quantity Surveyors, taking responsibility for their work and addressing any measurement issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in build projects.
  • A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Strong skills in report writing, forecast planning, and engaging with clients and senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
