Daniel Owen Agency are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to start immediately, based in Kent. However, the chosen candidate will need to be able to travel in and around Kent.

For this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing rail infrastructure projects from initiation to completion. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and commercial cost control along with a strong understanding of Network Rail standards and procedures and all relevant codes of practice.

About you:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • At least 5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the Rail and Construction sectors.
  • A strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes and financial management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build a strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in Rail and Construction
