Our central government client is looking for a HEO Shift Manager to join the Sevington Border Facility Operation. The role of the HEO will be to manage the daily operations on the Front Office, leading a team of EOs and AOs to ensure the front office runs efficiently and effectively. This role requires close collaboration with the Operations Management team and key site stakeholders.


The Shift Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of BCP activities and services. This position requires hands-on management of Executive Officers (EOs) and Administrative Officers (AOs) during each shift, ensuring minimal dwell times for drivers and the achievement of performance metrics. The role also involves producing detailed shift reports and managing onsite relationships with HMRC to ensure effective operational processes.
Key Skills Required:

  • Ability to report on activity and target delivery
  • Planning skills to enable effective work allocation and resource management
  • Ability to effectively lead others, managing performance and developing team members
  • High standards of interpersonal skills and ability to lead and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to give clear and concise instructions and constructive feedback
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a fast-paced operational environment. Experience in managing and leading teams to achieve performance targets.
  • Experience working in a BCP or similar environment is highly desirable.



Contract Details:
You will need to be locally based to ensure continual site presence during shifts.
This is a 24/7 operation, so shift patterns will be 4 on 4 off, including weekends and bank holidays.
Contracted hours will be 12.5 per day- 7am- 7:30pm.
21.43 Per Hour
Contract end date: 25th April 2025
