Key Responsibilities as an English Teacher:- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that encourage creativity, analytical thinking, and a love of literature.
- Tailor teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to guide their academic growth.
- Establish a positive and dynamic classroom environment that promotes participation and confidence in English.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a cohesive and enriching curriculum.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as reading groups, writing workshops, or drama clubs to enhance the student experience.
- Support students of varying abilities to ensure they achieve their full potential in English.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification. Applications from overseas-trained teachers are welcome.
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 experience being advantageous.
- A strong passion for teaching and the ability to inspire a love of English in students.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, adaptable approach to teaching in an inclusive environment.
