KS3 SEN English Teacher

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate KS3 English Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students who have faced challenges in traditional educational settings. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, and a robust skill set to help our students achieve success in English and an additional subject.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to KS3 students, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
- Work collaboratively within the English department to enhance the delivery of English and literacy skills across the school.
- Address the individual learning needs of students, particularly those with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and Autism.
- Participate in the development and implementation of SEMH enrichment interventions and nurture classes.
- Contribute to the broad secondary curriculum offered at Goldwyn Folkestone, preparing students for Level 2 qualifications at KS4.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Experience in teaching English at KS3 or similar levels.
- Proven ability to work with students with SEMH needs and Autism.
- Strong commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for contributing to a multidisciplinary educational team.
