KS3 SEN English Teacher

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate KS3 English Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students who have faced challenges in traditional educational settings. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, and a robust skill set to help our students achieve success in English and an additional subject.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to KS3 students, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
  • Work collaboratively within the English department to enhance the delivery of English and literacy skills across the school.
  • Address the individual learning needs of students, particularly those with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and Autism.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of SEMH enrichment interventions and nurture classes.
  • Contribute to the broad secondary curriculum offered at Goldwyn Folkestone, preparing students for Level 2 qualifications at KS4.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience in teaching English at KS3 or similar levels.
  • Proven ability to work with students with SEMH needs and Autism.
  • Strong commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for contributing to a multidisciplinary educational team.
