An Ashford based charity who offer care and support for adults with learning disabilities is seeking an experienced Relief Coordinator to support their services by managing the staffing of relief workers. Imagine spending your lunch breaks enjoying the fresh air, this is an environment like no other, making your workday not just fulfilling but enjoyable.About the Role:As the Relief Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the deployment of relief workers, managing staff training and development, and ensuring that services have adequate coverage. You’ll collaborate with external agencies and internal teams, ensuring the smooth operation of the support system. This newly created position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in organising efficient staffing arrangements which deliver excellent support across all services.Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify staffing resource gaps and manage recruitment, selection, and onboarding of relief workers.
  • Collaborate with mangers to scrutinise rotas to ensure optimum resourcing levels, where necessary challenging any over-provisioning in support of effective budget management.
  • Build and strengthen the roster of workers to ensure coverage across all services.
  • Work closely with external agencies to arrange emergency cover as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date digital records of staff training and ensure continuous professional development.
  • Manage reports and spreadsheets to maintain oversight of operational needs.
We’re looking for a Relief Coordinator with:
  • Previous experience in relief coordination, scheduling, or a related support services role.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Teams.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving challenges.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
You will be working in their head office, near Ashford, with up to two days from home, from 9-5pm. The company values are at the core of everything they do.
