Duties Include:

  • Complete clear, timely assessments of children and families in line with the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation
  • Develop focused plans that promote safety, stability and positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Act to safeguard children, taking appropriate steps to reduce risk and protect their welfare
  • Work closely with families, schools, health and other agencies to provide coordinated support
  • Ensure the child's voice is heard and their rights are promoted in all decision-making
  • Review and update plans regularly to reflect children's changing needs and progress
  • Meet statutory duties and follow best practice in safeguarding and care planning

Requirements:

  • 2 years experience post qualification
  • Action safeguarding procedures
