Hours: 0830am to 330pm 

About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role involves supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). A car driver is essential for this position.

About our school: We are an outstanding SEMH Special School in Kent, operating over four sites with unique educational pathways. We are highly regarded for our success in supporting complex and vulnerable students. Our school is a KCC Foundation Special School for children and young people with an EHCP for SEMH needs, aged 11 to 18.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students aged 11-18 with a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, including ASD and ADHD.
  • Assist in creating bespoke learning experiences for vulnerable children and young people.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Manage challenging behaviour in an educational environment.
  • Help students achieve their full potential and become independent, happy adults.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced or passionate about working with students with SEMH and behavioural needs.
  • Confident in handling challenging behaviour.
  • Patient, resilient, calm, and composed.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Committed to professional development and team collaboration.
