Are you an empathetic and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking to support students with SEMH needs?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a Specialist SEMH School in Ashford. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and is committed to making a positive impact on their education and well-being. This role is ideal for someone with a calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Assist in managing behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Help students build confidence, resilience, and social skills.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning plans.
- Support students with daily routines and encourage engagement in learning.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or other SEN students.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- A compassionate and adaptable approach to supporting individual learning needs.
- An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, with any gaps explained).
- An enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
- Must drive and have access to a vehicle.
