SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity - Primary-aged pupils (Ashford)

Are you an organised SEN Teaching Assistant searching for your next role? Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Ashford!

This full-time position is available for an immediate start and, while it begins as a temporary long-term role, it has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

We partner with a variety of SEN schools throughout Ashford and the surrounding areas, so wherever you're based locally, we encourage you to apply!

The Role Involves:

  • Supporting primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs, such as ASD, SEMH, and behavioural challenges
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Assisting class teachers in preparing and delivering lessons and activities
  • Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment, including assisting with classroom tasks and equipment
  • Supervising pupils on school trips and outings
  • Rephrasing instructions, offering repetition, and providing guidance to ensure students are fully engaged in their learning
