 SEN Teacher• Job Type: Full-time• Location: Near Ashford, Kent• Salary: £30000 - £49000• Start Date: 1st September 2025

We are a non-maintained special school with a therapeutic focus, catering to young people aged 5–16 who have experienced trauma, have a diagnosis of Autism, or face other neurodevelopmental and psychological challenges. Our school is set on a beautiful 24-acre site and offers a unique, individualised curriculum that includes Forest School, outdoor learning, and vocational courses. We are proud of our ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and our commitment to providing outstanding care and education.

Day to Day of the Role:• Delivering a thematic curriculum in Primary and a creative, cross-curricular approach in Key Stage 3.• Guiding Key Stage 4 pupils towards accredited qualifications.• Working as part of a highly effective team to support each student’s educational and emotional needs.• Utilising a range of IT skills to enhance teaching and learning experiences.• Engaging in outdoor and practical activities that are integral to our curriculum.

Required Skills & Qualifications:• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).• A good to outstanding teacher with successful teaching experience in a mainstream or special education setting.• A primary background with the ability to teach across the curriculum.• A commitment to providing high-quality educational opportunities for pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to inclusion.• A team player who is keen to develop their own skills.• Physically fit and willing to work flexible hours around the needs of our children.• Resilient, emotionally aware, and able to understand the underlying communication in student behaviour.• A valid driving licence and willingness to drive school vehicles for student activities and appointments.
