We are a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school seeking a passionate and experienced Forest School Leader. Our mission is to support each child’s unique learning journey through innovative and engaging educational experiences. The successful candidate will need to have a Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification and a strong commitment to enriching the lives of children with special educational needs through the power of outdoor learning.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging forest school sessions tailored to the needs of SEN students.
  • Create a safe and inclusive outdoor learning environment that promotes exploration and discovery.
  • Inspire a love for nature and the outdoors among students, encouraging environmental stewardship.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate forest school activities into the broader curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Ensure all forest school activities comply with health and safety regulations and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification.
  • Proven experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of the principles and practices of forest school education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A passion for outdoor education and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
