Our client is looking for a Housing Services Managerto manage their income function.

Housing Services Manager (Income)

About the role:

This crucial role will see you lead the way in ensuring the effective management and recovery of rental income, which is essential for the sustainability of their housing operations.

Your ability to lead a high performing team that manages income recovery with empathy and understanding will be key in fostering positive relationships and addressing concerns.

You'll drive a culture that values and prioritises tenant satisfaction, ensuring that their tenants are at the heart of everything they do.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative strategies to enhance the income collection processes and engage meaningfully with tenants and colleagues to support timely payments.

In addition to managing rental income, you will also be responsible for the service charges element for the business.

This involves working closely with their finance team to ensure that service charges are accurately calculated, communicated, and reviewed, aligning them with tenant expectations and regulatory standards.

About you:

  • You should possess a robust mix of leadership skills, financial acumen, and a deep commitment to tenant engagement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to effectively engage with tenants and foster an environment of trust.
  • A strategic mindset, paired with problem-solving capabilities, will be crucial in developing innovative income recovery strategies.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Good Standard of General Education, preferably with relevant professional qualification
  • At least 2 years’ experience in social housing with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Housing legislation
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate staff, preferably in a housing management environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages.

This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
