GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support post-16 students in a specialist educational setting in Ashington. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs.

Responsibilities of the SEN TA Post 16:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to post-16 students with SEN, helping them develop independence and life skills.
Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and adapting materials to meet individual student needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Support students' emotional and social development, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
Assist with personal care and mobility needs, where required.

Requirements of the SEN TA Post 16:

Experience working with SEN students, particularly post-16 learners, is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students and collaborate with staff.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with students with diverse needs.
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
