Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Post 16

Salary: £84 - £108 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education is looking for a passionate and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support post-16 students with special educational needs in Ashington. If you want to make a real difference in the lives of young people, this role could be perfect for you!
What You'll Do as a SEN Teaching Assistant – Post 16:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for post-16 students with SEN.
- Help students build independence and life skills.
- Assist in delivering personalised lessons and adapting materials to meet individual needs.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a positive and structured environment.
- Support students’ emotional and social development and encourage positive behaviour.
- Help with personal care and mobility when needed.
What You Need to be a SEN Teaching Assistant – Post 16:
- Previous experience working with SEN students (especially post-16) is desirable.
- Strong communication skills to work well with both students and staff.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.
- An updated CV and an enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one).
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- A proactive approach to developing your professional skills.
