What a SEN Teaching Assistant – Post-16  Be Doing:

• Providing personalised 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs.
• Assisting in delivering tailored lessons and adapting resources to suit individual learning styles.
• Helping students develop key life skills and encouraging independence.
• Supporting emotional well-being and promoting positive, respectful behaviour.
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and wider school staff to create a nurturing learning environment.
• Offering support with personal care and mobility when required.

What We’re Looking For in a SEN Teaching Assistant – Post-16:

• Previous experience supporting students with SEN, ideally within a Post-16 setting.
• A calm, caring, and resilient approach to working with young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and a proactive mindset.
