Contract Mechanical Design Engineer

6 -12 month + contract (rolling)

Opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer with Inventor experience to undertake a long-term contract working on complex equipment.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a solid background in Autodesk Inventor to support a project undertaking detailed conceptual design and supporting the complete project life-cycle. 

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have the ability to :

• Conceptualise mechanical ideas
• Undertake detailed design
• Support procurement and manufacturing teams to produce prototypes
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to produce technical documentation including Bill of Materials (BOM’s) CAD drawings, work instructions schematics and similar
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods

 The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will have;  

• Proven mechanical design experience within a fast-paced development environment

• Experience working on complex mechanical equipment

• 3D CAD  - AutoCAD Inventor
