We are recruiting for a permanent Mobile Plant Mechanic for a well established plant hire company based in Saint Helens Merseyside, supporting house builders and the construction industry on a national basis.

The company pride themselves on providing their customers with the latest plant machinery backed up by a first class service.

Hours:

Monday to Friday - 39 hours (7am - 4pm)

Regular Overtime available at x1.5 after 39 hours

Saturdays x1.5 and x2 after 4 hours

Sundays double time 

Salary: Basic salary of £35k per annum depending on experience with regular overtime taking potential earnings to £50k plus

Location: Haydock (St Helens, Merseyside)

About the role:

We currently have an opportunity to join the team as a mechanical plant engineer. This position requires the engineer to carry out routine maintenance and servicing on our hire fleet, troubleshooting mechanical issues and communicating with our service team. We are looking for a candidate with prior experience working on JCB telehandlers and ground working equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have NVQ qualifications in plant maintenance
  • Carry out scheduled inspections, servicing and repairs in compliance with manufacturers specifications.
  • Carry out all tasks in compliance with the company's environmental and health and safety procedures.The main responsibilities of the Mobile Plant Fitter will include;
  • Routine maintenance of plant vehicles and machinery
  • Repairs as necessary to ensure hire equipment is fit for purpose
  • Rebuilds
  • Diagnostics / Fault Finding
  • Safety inspections.
