Role: Customer Service Advisor

Location: Ashton-under-Lyne

Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Thursday; 8:30 am to 1:00 pm on Fridays

Contract: Temporary (with potential for a permanent contract after 3 months)

Salary: £25,000 per year (£13.17 per hour)

Job Summary:

As a Customer Service Advisor for our manufacturing client, you will work as part of a team to manage customer accounts. Your responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, issuing sales invoices, responding to customer queries via phone and email, updating sales records, and coordinating with various internal departments to ensure efficient order processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate a commitment to safety and actively participate in company safety, health, and environmental campaigns and initiatives.
  2. Process customer purchase orders.
  3. Create internal sales orders and provide relevant paperwork to other departments.
  4. Liaise with external logistics providers to ensure prompt delivery.
  5. Coordinate with departments such as despatch and planning to fulfill customer orders.
  6. Maintain KPI documents to measure customer satisfaction.
  7. Act as first point of contact for customer complaints and work with the quality team to address them.
